Celebrate the work of artist Sophia Victor and the legacy of the Black Panther Party. Brunch served.

Join us for an immersive journey through Black history, arts, and culture, honoring the Black Panther Party as it approaches its 60th anniversary this October – with refreshments/brunch served at every session.

To Be Free is a multidisciplinary art project by Sophia Victor that explores political imprisonment, memory, freedom, and the legacy of the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation movements. Since 2010, Victor has worked in collaboration with the Jericho Movement and current and former political prisoners, using portraiture, writing, video, performance, sculpture, and public art to amplify their stories. Rooted in relationship, care, and advocacy, To Be Free honors the humanity, resilience, and lived experiences of individuals impacted by political incarceration while preserving an important chapter in the history of social justice movements in the United States.
