HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM (HAP)

The Homework Assistance Program supports children in grades 2-8 with after-school academic help during the school months. Operating Monday through Friday, HAP guides students through homework completion and provides additional support in reading, math, and other subjects. The program aims to equip participants with skills for academic excellence. SUMMER ENRICHMENT
PROGRAM (SEP)

The Summer Enrichment Program, running during summer break, focuses on reinforcing and expanding knowledge in mathematics, reading comprehension, and writing. This program demonstrates that learning can be enjoyable by incorporating games and arts into the curriculum. It’s designed to strengthen core subjects and develop analytical thinking skills, ensuring students remain intellectually engaged during the summer months.

SEP also offers an extension program courtesy of The Port Authority of NY & NJ, Delta Air Lines, and LaGuardia Gateway Partners. This extension is open to program participants and other interested students. During this part of the program, the Cradle of Aviation delivers an exciting curriculum that takes kids on a journey through aviation history and science, providing hands-on learning experiences and fostering interest in STEM fields.

Both of these dynamic programs are led by a licensed DOE teacher, Ms. Erikka Sharpe, ensuring high-quality instruction and guidance for all participants.
